Daily Activities
The Ramakrishna Mission, Kasundia , Howrah a branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, swang into action from day one after taking over charge in August , 2019. Apart from day-to-day religious activities and evening vesper service, tithi puja of Thakur, Maa Sarada and Swamiji etc., Matri-Nam-Samkirtan, RamnamSamkirtan and Shyamnam are also held on Tuesday, Ekadashi and Purnima respectively.
Every morning, from 6 .00 A.M. to 6:30 A.M. Chanting from Geeta and Upanishad takes place. After evening vesper service, Kathamrita is read and discussed for half an hour. Besides, it has too extended monthly financial assistance to the poor families, widows and offered educational and medical help to poor students. On occasions, Saris, Dhutis, Shirts, Frocks and blankets are distributed among needy persons. Both Allopathic and homeopathic charitable dispensary are run for treatment of poor people. Weekly lectures by learned monks and personalities are held.
This centre has a library-cum-reading room with exhaustive collection of rare books on Hinduism (Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas and Ramakrishna Vivekananda Literature etc.). There is a Sales counter attached to the library room from where books of spiritual importance, photographs of Thakur, Maa Sarada, Swamiji and Samhagurus along with Pallimangal products, Sargachi products are sold.
At the Kasundia, A branch centre of the Ramakrishna Mission, various initiatives support those in need, including providing tasteful lunches to thirty extremely underprivileged individuals every day. This noble endeavor is made possible through the generous donations of devoted well-wishers. Under the guidance of Swami Sarvavidananda Maharaj, Kasundia RKM has garnered special recognition for its unwavering commitment to serving humanity.
